wOwZa!!!!!

Holy Moly, I feel like my life is going a million miles an hour.  Some days I am thankful for it and then others I just want to sit down, fall asleep and not wake up for hours!  Today is a thankful day.  As a stay at home mom, I just gotta sit down sometimes and think about all of the things that I actually accomplish in a day.  After being a working girl for so long, it can be hard to just stop going to work and stay at home.  Today, my first big, HUGE accomplishment was getting my sorry bag of bones out of bed.  Being 11 weeks pregnant doesn't sound like the hardest thing in the world, but some days it is, and mornings can be THE WORST!!!  I folded two batches of laundry, started one more batch (which will complete the laundry pile that I started 4 days ago, go me!) got some hamburger out of the freezer so I can make spaghetti later, cleaned out our filing cabinet and re-organized it. . . . and hmmmmmm let's see. . . . I did take the dog outside twice and let Cora run around and play for almost an hour.  Now, she is napping and I am having this internal battle that I always do when she is napping.  Do I take a nap myself?  Do I clean something?  Do I start packing up some of our things (cause we are moving next week and it eventually does have to get done, booo!)? Do I watch another episode of Grey's Anatomy on Netflix (my new guilty pleasure)? Or do I sit and blog about everything and nothing?  Today, obviously I chose to blog, cause it has been so long and I've had a lot on my mind.

First thing that I've had on my mind for the past few days is General Conference.  I have loved watching Conference since I was baptized.  On my mission it was THE BEST!!!!!  But for some reason, I am overly excited about it this week!!!  Maybe it is because we've got so much going on and so many changes ahead, I'm hoping for something to really pick me up and give me a lot of motivation.  And it is the one thing (along with church every week) that we can expect to happen every 6 months.  It is an over load of spiritual power.  I'm super excited to watch it online and turn it up as loud as it will go so that Cora can hear it too.  Last conference she surprisingly watched very closely.  It will probably be a different story this time, she's walking and going all over the place she can't pay attention to anything for more than 5 seconds (unless it's Mickey Mouse)

Today we are signing all the final paper work to buy our house.  Talk about a long, stressful process.  But I am so excited to finally be moving into a home that we can call ours.  We have already talked about all of the fun things we want to do with it.  It'll probably take us a while, but hey, at least we know we can!!!  It's going to be a crazy adjustment living in such a small town, but I am excited to get to know all of the people there and become involved in the community!

(Our new house, Yay!!!)

As I mentioned before, I am 11 weeks pregnant.  I have been a lot more tired and a little more sick this time around.  But things are starting to get better.  John and I choose the worst times to have babies.  Last time we moved I was 36 weeks pregnant with Cora, and this time I'll be 12 weeks pregnant.  I'm not much help in that condition, but at least this time around I'll have Cora to keep me busy and make me feel like I'm helping a little bit.  Baby #2 is due in October.  We are so excited for Cora to have a little baby brother/sister.  We feel so blessed that Heavenly Father has given us the great opportunity of being parents and raising His spirit children.  There is nothing more rewarding than being a parent.  I can't imagine not having Cora right now.  I would feel so incomplete.  Thank Heavens for little babies and their sweet spirits!!!

(10 weeks, and showing WAY too soon)

I am so thankful that I can stay at home with my baby girl.  It is hard at times, but it is so worth it.  Being able  to see her grow and learn has been such a blessing and I can't wait for all of the adventures that we are going to have together in the future!

Positive Thinking

So, for those of you who know me, I grew up in a pretty small town/area.  So when my we found out that we were moving to the Vegas area last year for John's new job, I was both excited and a little nervous.  Sin City is a fun place to visit ( in my opinion, John just hates it all around ) but I was a little nervous about living here.  We couldn't be too picky about where we went either, with the economy the way it is/was ya gotta go where the job is.  So we decided it would be a good chance for us to be away from family and start our own thing.  I was pretty excited.  And it has been great, except since we've been here. . . I have come to dislike, HATE Vegas!!!  Luckily we live in a little town about 30 minutes south east of Vegas, but we still find ourselves having to drive into town for some shopping, doctors appts., dentist appts., etc.  I loathe having to go into town ( unless it is to go on a "fun shopping day" at all of the shopping outlets )  Vegas drivers are not too friendly and I'm always praying that I make it home alive.  In my attempt to be a positive person, I have tried to come up with a list of things that I really do like about living in this area.  It's a short list, but a list nonetheless.
1. I LOVE THE WEATHER!!!  For the first year of my life, I wasn't snowed in on my birthday, but was actually out in the sunshine and LOVING every minute of it!!!!  I like the snow, but after about a month, I just want it gone, so the desert weather has been nice ( excluding the 120 degree weather that we had this summer for a couple weeks, KILL ME!!!!! )
2.  Like I mentioned before, the shopping down here is awesome!  They have almost any story you can think of and you can usually find some good deals if you are a good bargain shopper ( which I am )
3.  The Vaught's and The Dearden's.  Our bestest pals down here in Vegas have made it a lot of fun!  They both have little boys who aren't too much older than Cora, so she has friends that she can play with.  And we get to chill/hangout with them and just have a grand old time!  I will miss them THE MOST when we move :(
4.  The only other thing I like about Vegas is that we will be leaving it before it gets bloomin hot again :) hee hee!
We are moving to a more nothern town that won't be so dang hot and is A LOT smaller!  I will definitely miss the convenience of all of the shopping, but am excited to start a new adventure with my two sweetheart's!!!  I'll talk a little bit more about where we are moving in the future.  For now I just wanna vent to you all about this ................... place!!!

NO THANKS :)

Where does time go ???

I don't know why, but I swear ever since I had Cora, time has gone by 10 times faster!  I'm sure other moms can relate!  I have had so many things I've wanted to blog about in the past few months, but never find time.  I'm going to make it a goal to take time and blog at least once a week AT LEAST!  I eventually would like to print it out and have it as a book (I've heard of people doing that ....)  Anyways, this post is just going to be an update of pictures and my sweet little gal and how much she has grown up!!!! Hopefully I can get all of my numbers straight :)

6 MONTHS
She was so close to crawling when she turned 6 months, but didn't quite have it down.  She did have a cute little way of getting up on her feet and hands to do what we called her "baby yoga".
She did this ALL DAY LONG for a couple of weeks!
7 MONTHS
She finally decided to crawl over Thanksgiving weekend while we were in Colorado at my parents house.  She just needed an audience I guess.  She hasn't stopped going and going since!
8 MONTHS
Cora was soooo spoiled at Christmas time (and so were John and I).  Gramma and Grampa Jenkins got her this GIANT bear!!!  She is sooooo in love!!!
9 MONTHS
Here she is standing all by herself!!!!  AHHHHHH!!!!!  A lot has happened in the past month or so for her.  She is trying/loving a lot of new foods!!!!  She can stand on her own, and a few nights ago took her first steps.  She is becoming more and more brave, which scares the crap outta me, but I am so excited to see her learning all these new fun things.  She loves to make faces, click her tongue and take baths in the sink :)  Oh and how could I forget, she got her first two teeth too!  Big month for little Cora girl!!!
I LOVE HER... just a little ;)
