SO MANY CHANGES!

So basically everyone in my immediate family will be experiencing some big life changing event in the next few months, and John's family will be making a big move, so I thought I better document it so that when we are all sitting around a table sometime next year, whether it be in Colorado or Washington, and we are arguing about when, where, and how everything all went down I will have put it all in writing and will be the one who wins the argument, hee hee hee!!!!  (That isn't the only reason, I do just like to record the happenings of our lives for future reading too lol)

I'll start with my parents.  About two months ago my dad told us that he had been promoted to a new position within his job, but that it would require him to move to Colorado.  I was and still am very excited for him and my mom to be starting a new adventure together.  For so long my parent's have sacrificed a lot for their family, and now they are finally getting to do something really big and major for themselves.  I was talking to my dad about it yesterday and we were laughing about how they are finally empty-nesters but are kind of starting all over again, and that got me even more excited for them and for our whole family to enjoy this big change with them.  They will be moving to Colorado (not sure which part yet) at the beginning of July.

Then there is my brother Jake.  He has met a really amazing and fun girl down at BYU and will be getting married on June 14th.  We are so excited for them!  It is a little weird to think of one of my little brothers getting married, but I am sure he had the same feelings when I got married (especially since he only knew/met John for about two weeks before we got married because he had just returned from his mission) so now it's my turn to be a little weirded out.  I know that Jake is doing the right thing though, I have seen him date a lot of girls and never have I seen him be able to be himself 100% until now, with Kimby.  I am very excited to go home in a couple of weeks and welcome her into our family.  It will be a very fun week and I am very excited to finally have a sister, now me and mom won't be so out numbered : )

Now onto my little Broseph, Joseph : ) This story is the only one that makes me a little sad.... and I'm already tearing up :'(  but it seems so wrong to be sad because the change that my little bro will be going through is an experience that will be one of the top 3 best things he will ever do in his life.  He will be leaving for The Dominican Republic on September 19th to serve as a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  And as I say that with a tear in my eye, I say it with so much pride! I will miss him soooooooooooooo much but I know that it will go by fast and that it will be such a great experience for him!

And last but definitely not least are my in-laws.  John's mom and her family are moving to Washington in July or August.  We are a little jealous because they are moving so close to the rest of John's family who we very seldom get to see, but we are very excited for them too.  We are so excited to go up to Washington sometime this fall and visit everyone!

So there ya have it, so many changes that I can hardly keep up with them all.  And while some of them are kind of crazy and big and scary, they are all good!  My parents are a little worried that with all of us moving apart we might not keep in touch, but I have come to learn so much in the past couple of months that family is so important, they are all that we have and nothing else is worth losing sight of that simple fact!  We have always been close to both of our families and we will do whatever we need to to keep it that way.  I am so thankful for the knowledge that I have of eternal families.  It makes big changes like all of these ones a little easier to handle and it brings peace to my heart to know that we all have the opportunity to be together, in one place again someday!!!
