Trip To Utah

A couple of weeks ago we went to Utah for my brother's wedding.  It was so good to see all of our family again.  The weather in Utah was PERFECT and it was so green and pretty in Cache Valley!  Not gonna lie, it kind of made us "home sick". . . but it was good to get home and get back to our little family and routine too.  I got to be a bridesmaid in the wedding that took place at a very pretty park in Salt Lake.  So. . . I didn't get to take any pictures of my own, so I stole a couple from my bro's Facebook page (Thanks Jake) It was a great trip, but John didn't get to be with us the whole time because he had to stay here in Nevada for Police Academy.  But he did come out over the weekend so that we would all be together to celebrate his first Father's Day : )

THE WHOLE FAM!, minus my hubby :(

Cora got to meet a lot of new people!  She was so spoiled all week, there wasn't one time that she wasn't being held!!!!  And I think her wardrobe doubled!!!!  Sheeeesh!!!!  I think it is about time for us to get a dresser for all of her clothes : /

I LOVE this picture.  Kaleb was the first new born baby that I got to babysit. . . it is so crazy to think that he is 8 years old already and that I've got a newborn of my own!!!

SO MANY CHANGES!

So basically everyone in my immediate family will be experiencing some big life changing event in the next few months, and John's family will be making a big move, so I thought I better document it so that when we are all sitting around a table sometime next year, whether it be in Colorado or Washington, and we are arguing about when, where, and how everything all went down I will have put it all in writing and will be the one who wins the argument, hee hee hee!!!!  (That isn't the only reason, I do just like to record the happenings of our lives for future reading too lol)

I'll start with my parents.  About two months ago my dad told us that he had been promoted to a new position within his job, but that it would require him to move to Colorado.  I was and still am very excited for him and my mom to be starting a new adventure together.  For so long my parent's have sacrificed a lot for their family, and now they are finally getting to do something really big and major for themselves.  I was talking to my dad about it yesterday and we were laughing about how they are finally empty-nesters but are kind of starting all over again, and that got me even more excited for them and for our whole family to enjoy this big change with them.  They will be moving to Colorado (not sure which part yet) at the beginning of July.

Then there is my brother Jake.  He has met a really amazing and fun girl down at BYU and will be getting married on June 14th.  We are so excited for them!  It is a little weird to think of one of my little brothers getting married, but I am sure he had the same feelings when I got married (especially since he only knew/met John for about two weeks before we got married because he had just returned from his mission) so now it's my turn to be a little weirded out.  I know that Jake is doing the right thing though, I have seen him date a lot of girls and never have I seen him be able to be himself 100% until now, with Kimby.  I am very excited to go home in a couple of weeks and welcome her into our family.  It will be a very fun week and I am very excited to finally have a sister, now me and mom won't be so out numbered : )

Now onto my little Broseph, Joseph : ) This story is the only one that makes me a little sad.... and I'm already tearing up :'(  but it seems so wrong to be sad because the change that my little bro will be going through is an experience that will be one of the top 3 best things he will ever do in his life.  He will be leaving for The Dominican Republic on September 19th to serve as a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  And as I say that with a tear in my eye, I say it with so much pride! I will miss him soooooooooooooo much but I know that it will go by fast and that it will be such a great experience for him!

And last but definitely not least are my in-laws.  John's mom and her family are moving to Washington in July or August.  We are a little jealous because they are moving so close to the rest of John's family who we very seldom get to see, but we are very excited for them too.  We are so excited to go up to Washington sometime this fall and visit everyone!

So there ya have it, so many changes that I can hardly keep up with them all.  And while some of them are kind of crazy and big and scary, they are all good!  My parents are a little worried that with all of us moving apart we might not keep in touch, but I have come to learn so much in the past couple of months that family is so important, they are all that we have and nothing else is worth losing sight of that simple fact!  We have always been close to both of our families and we will do whatever we need to to keep it that way.  I am so thankful for the knowledge that I have of eternal families.  It makes big changes like all of these ones a little easier to handle and it brings peace to my heart to know that we all have the opportunity to be together, in one place again someday!!!

Cora Nicole Anderson. . . Almost a Month Later. . . Ooops : )

Well, once again I have been a TERRIBLE blogger!!!  I am sure that anyone that does read this blog already knows that we had our sweet little girl about a month ago.  She was born on April 23rd at 4:45 pm.  She is absolutely so much fun and we LOVE her to death!!!!!!

We were planning on being induced on the 25th of April, but luckily little Cora decided to come on her own.  I was so glad.  My water broke on Sunday night (22nd) at about 9pm.  It was almost exactly how it happens in the movie . . . one minute I just feel like I'm wetting my pants, and the next there is a puddle on the floor of our living room hahahaha!!!  We got all of our stuff together and got on our way to the hospital and arrived at about 10:30.  I was in active labor by about 1 am.  I was told that I couldn't get my epidural until I was dilated to a 4, but it didn't take too long, I was only having to deal with labor pains without pain meds for about 4 hours.  After the epidural, everything went by way fast for me.  I got to sleep and just relax and watch TV.  THANK YOU HEAVENLY FATHER FOR WHO EVER INVENTED THE WONDERFUL EPIDURAL : ) At about 3:00 the following afternoon, the nurse told me I was ready to start pushing, and boy was I ready!!!  At about 3:30 I started pushing.  I had to push for about an hour and half before our little girl decided to grace us with her presence : )  It was the most amazing feeling to finally see her and hold her.  There was such an over whelming feeling of love between her and I and her daddy, I have never felt that feeling before and am pretty sure I'll never feel it again, it was AMAZING!!!

The past few weeks have been great.  I love being Cora's Mommy.  She is such a good baby.  She is happy as can be and I couldn't have asked for a sweeter little babe!!!

I LOVE THIS PIC : )

Is Vegas ready for us???? : )

We are here!!!  We have been here for. . . almost a week, and it has been great so far!  We've got most of our stuff moved in and put away.  John isn't as busy as he would like, but is still busy getting things ready for Police Academy.  I am very busy, baking a baby.  I can stand to be up and moving around for about 30 minutes before I feel like I need a 2 hour nap. . . so I'm not getting tons done, but things are getting done none the less.

We were very lucky to have my parents and brothers come down to help us move in.  We got everything moved in fast enough that we could spend a whole day just exploring our new little town and having fun.  We went and ate our hearts out at a buffet then went and walked off all the calories at Hoover Dam : ) It was a lot of fun.

John and I did get a chance to go hang out at the Lake (Mead) earlier in the week.  We were excited to get some sun.  The weather is sooooo nice down here right now, and we are taking advantage before it gets way too hot to be outside.

We had an appointment with my new doctor the Friday we got here and he is very nice!  He says from what he saw on the ultrasound, baby is bigger than average.  Baby's head is already measuring more than 9 cm's : /  I will be having a measurement ultrasound on Monday and the doc will be able to give us a better estimate of how much the baby weighs and stuff.  He also said he is kind of concerned about how far away we live from the hospital so he said if I am dilated at all at week 38, he is going to induce me at week 39, and if Baby is on track to be a 9 or 10 pound baby, he is going to induce me 10 days early.  We originally didn't want to be induced at all, but with the timing of everything, it would be really good if Baby could/does come early.  We are soooooo excited and can't believe that Baby is going to be here so soon!!!!  YAY!!!!!!!!!

36 Weeks. . . aaaahhhhhhhh Baby is almost here : )
